Dr. David Dutton, CVO
Dr. David Dutton is the Chief Veterinary Officer at Hilltop BioSciences and a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons with over 30 years of experience in equine medicine. He earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Colorado State University in 1995 and completed a large animal surgery residency at Texas A&M University.
Dr. Dutton went on to found and operate Hill Country Equine for two decades, building deep expertise in equine surgery, lameness, and regenerative therapies before transitioning into veterinary biotechnology. Prior to joining Hilltop BioSciences, he served as Chief Medical Officer at EquiBio Solutions.
In his role as CVO, Dr. Dutton brings extensive clinical and research experience to the team, with a particular focus on orthobiologics and amniotic allograft therapies. He has authored peer-reviewed publications in the JAVMA and Veterinary Surgery, and is a sought-after speaker at national and international veterinary conferences.
Dr. Dutton also serves as Clinical Coordinator and Professor of Practice at Texas Tech University School of Veterinary Medicine and sits on the Texas Radiation Advisory Board by gubernatorial appointment.
