The Science behind Hilltop Bio Products

Through defined characterization methods, Hilltop Bio is able to analyze and understand the components present in its products. This analytical approach also allows for consistency in manufacturing by identifying and limiting unwanted elements. Unlike many PRP-, stem cell-, or serum-based solutions, Hilltop Bio’s process enables a higher level of control over product composition, offering a distinct approach within the broader field of regenerative technologies.

Guided by Cell Signaling Research

Hilltop Bio’s research focuses on the cell signaling properties of birth-derived tissue, particularly the role of bioactive components—often referred to as a “bioactive soup”—in facilitating cellular communication. These signaling molecules can initiate cascades that influence nearby cells through paracrine mechanisms. Because many of these mediators exhibit pleiotropic behavior, they may interact with various cell types and environmental conditions in complex ways. Through ongoing cytokine analysis and proteomic characterization, Hilltop Bio continues to investigate the molecular features of its source material to support the development of targeted products for veterinary use.
