Hilltop Bio is pleased to announce its new corporate partnership with the EQUUS Foundation, the only national animal welfare organization in the United States that is 100% dedicated to protecting America's horses from peril and strengthening the bond between horses and people. 

At the core of the EQUUS Foundation’s mission is safeguarding the comfort and dignity of America's horses throughout their lives and sharing their ability to empower, teach, and heal with as many people as possible. The Foundation is committed to ensuring that horses involved in any role and in any capacity - as athletes, companions, teachers, and healers - are safe, protected, and treated with dignity as partners. The EQUUS Foundation focuses its efforts on:

• EMPOWERING equine charities to operate at the highest standards for horse care and service and be fully transparent by providing financial support, recognition, guidance, and resources;
• INSPIRING horse lovers to become horse protectors by stimulating advocacy and volunteerism;
• EDUCATING the public on the value of horses in our lives by sharing stories of their amazing achievements and contributions.

It is only through engaging passionate supporters like Hilltop Bio that we are able to invest in effective programs that are finding homes for at-risk horses and horses in transition, providing a safe haven for aged horses, and increasing opportunities for more people to benefit from the magic and power of horses."

Our company was built on science and compassion for animals and the veterinary professionals who care for them.  Contributing to the EQUUS Foundation–an organization also founded on compassion–really aligns with our values. We’re proud to offer two charitable initiatives that give back to the veterinary and equine communities.

We have set up the Hilltop Bio Veterinary Scholarship, a $2,500 scholarship reserved for a veterinary student enrolled in a veterinary college or university listed on the EQUUS Foundation's Equine Education Network. Priority will be given to a veterinary student at Texas Tech University Veterinary School, where our Chief Veterinary Officer, Dr. David Dutton, teaches.

Additionally, we are donating up to ($5,000) in products for the EQUUS Foundation’s Guardian charities that participate in the Lafitte De Muze Matching Gift Campaign. On Wednesday, December 13th, the National Day of the Horse, Lafitte’s owner, Cheryl Olsten, will be matching donations made to the Guardian charities up to $20,000. We’re proud to support this initiative with our products while supporting Lafitte and his rider, Amanda Steege, as one of our sponsored riders and horses.
